Product Boxes

You rebuild the same product card in post after post, and when a price changes or a product is discontinued you go hunting through old articles to fix it by hand. Meanwhile readers scroll straight past a wall of grey text because nothing on the page looks like something to click.

Why it matters

One product, fifteen ways to show it.

A product box is not hard-coded HTML pasted into a post. It references your central product library, so the image, title, live price, rating and buttons stay correct everywhere the box appears, forever. Fix it once, it updates on every post.

Fifteen templates cover every job: a Spotlight hero for your #1 pick, a Deal Card with a discount badge, Pros & Cons, a Rating Box, a Comparison Table, ranked Compact Rows, a Minimal Grid, an inline CTA Bar and more. Each is tuned to convert, responsive by default, and fast enough to keep your Core Web Vitals green.

Design is decoupled from content. Pick one of 7 box styles (rounded, soft, square, flat, bordered, elevated, borderless), one of 8 colour themes, an accent colour and corner radius, then fine-tune the title, stars, ribbon and a second store button. Change the template later and your shortcode never changes.

How it works

From ASIN to a live box in under a minute.

1

Add the product

Paste an ASIN, an Amazon URL, or a whole list. It lands in your library with image, price and rating.

2

Pick a template & style

Choose one of 15 layouts, then set the box style, colour theme and accent in the live preview.

3

Drop it in a post

Paste the shortcode or use the block. Reuse the same box on as many posts as you like.

4

Walk away

Prices refresh, sale badges appear and disappear on their own, and one edit updates every placement.

Tips & insights

  • Use Spotlight for your single top pick at the top of a review, and a Comparison Table lower down. The two together outperform either alone.
  • Set one accent colour that matches your brand and reuse it on every box. Consistency reads as trust and lifts click-through.
  • The Deal Card only shows its discount badge while the product is actually discounted, so it self-updates. Great for a “today’s deals” section.
  • Turn on a second store button (e.g. Walmart) when you have a non-Amazon link, so a single out-of-stock never costs you the sale.
  • Make one box your default box so you can write [pr box="ASIN"] with no preset and it uses your house style automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know any code?
No. You build the box visually in the editor and drop it into a post with a block or a shortcode. The shortcode is just how the box travels between posts.
How many templates are there?
Fifteen: Spotlight, Showcase, Modern Card, Review Box, Pros & Cons, Rating Box, Comparison Table, Deal Card, Compact Row, Minimal Grid, CTA Bar, Inline Mini and three legacy boxes for older layouts.
Can I match the boxes to my theme?
Yes. There are 7 box styles and 8 full colour themes, plus a fine-tune panel for the accent colour, corner radius, button, stars, ribbon and a second button. You can match almost any design without touching CSS.
If I change a product’s price or image, do I have to edit every post?
No, that is the whole point. Every box references the central library. Update the product once and it changes everywhere the box appears.
Will boxes slow my site down or hurt Core Web Vitals?
The templates ship one small stylesheet, no jQuery and lazy-loaded images with fixed dimensions, so they do not cause layout shift. They are built to keep Lighthouse green.
What happens if Amazon has no image for a product?
The box degrades gracefully and hides the empty image rather than showing a broken graphic, so the layout never breaks.
Can I switch a box to a different template after publishing?
Yes. The shortcode stays the same; only the template changes. Switch a Card to a Spotlight and every post updates at once.
Can I show several boxes in one post?
As many as you want, in any mix of templates. Grid and list templates can also show multiple products in a single block.
Do the sale badge and crossed-out price need a toggle?
No. Stars, the sale badge and the old price appear automatically only when the product has that data, and disappear when it does not, so a box is never wrong.
Can I try the box builder before installing?
Yes. The interactive demo is the real template picker and design panel, running live in your browser with real Amazon product images.
